“Lets Do 52″ {togetherness} ~ week 2

Togetherness

Here is the photograph I chose for week 2. The theme for the week was “togetherness”. When I saw this picture I remembered what fun we had that day in the snow as a family. It was still snowing to beat the band, and the wind was fierce, but we were determined to get out there, and make some memories…and THAT we did!

Not much to the photo, but I did attempt a little “fake bokeh” to soften the background a bit. If you’re interested, there’s a great tutorial on The CoffeeShop Blog here. I LOVE playing around with Elements, and learning some new things. If there’s something you don’t know about, chances are you can find some website or blog that will explain it to you and walk you, step by step, through the process. So, if you’re like me, and want to add some depth to your images but didn’t have a good lens, this is a decent alternative way to “fake it”. Since my dear one got me a “nifty fifty” for Valentine’s Day, I don’t need that little tool so much anymore….love that man…

I feel like when I learn one thing, it opens that proverbial “can of worms” even more, and my world of possibilities just gets bigger! It’s SO cool! So, here’s my little picture…it’s a process, like I’ve said before…I’m sure I’ll look back at some of these photos and shake my head at myself. What a fun journey this is!
